Acer Smart Handhelds: beTouch E101, the beTouch E200 and the NeoTouch:Acer ranks among the worlds’ top five branded PC vendors. Acer has launched the latest range of Smart Handhelds in India named neoTouch and beTouch in Banglore today.
The new Smart Handheld devices symbolize a strategic move for Acer towards becoming a leader in the ‘mobility market,’ having rendered Mobile Internet solutions to 20 million consumers in more than 100 countries across the globe. The devices are designed to ply to the demands of growingly sophisticated handheld users and to make mobile Internet attractive and accessible to all. Acer all the three newly launched handsets that are beTouch E101, the beTouch E200 and the NeoTouch use Microsoft’s new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS.
The all India launch happened in Bangalore and the press conference was addressed by Acer’s India Head of Smart Handhelds, Richard Tan. During the press conference, Mr. Tan elaborated on the three new handsets- the beTouch E101, the beTouch E200 and the NeoTouch.
Think of the handhelds, ATM machines, and check-in terminals at the airport, GPS devices, and even more recent arrivals like smart phones and MP3 players.All of these have straightforward and instinctive touch-screens that enable us to experience touch technology first hand.
The neoTouch S200 is smart phone aimed at high end users. Acer’s neoTouch S200 is an influential touch screen phone with functions and applications like Mail, Mobile Internet, multimedia and Microsoft Office Mobile.
This Windows phone features a wide, high-resolution touch screen measuring 3.8 inches, 3G plus connectivity (HSPA), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the powerful Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor to guarantee fast Internet access, excellent multimedia playback and superior graphics for games and applications. Acer boasts that this is the fastest smart phone in world. It is priced at Rs. 35,000.
The beTouch E101 is conceptualized and designed for style-conscious users especially the youth who want to experience mobile internet on-the-go (email, instant messaging, social networking, browsing). It is equipped with the latest version of Internet Explorer, Windows Marketplace and Live Messenger. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.5, the latest Microsoft operating system that supports literally hundreds of Windows-certified mobile applications for both work and leisure.
It has a 3.2 inches touch screen. One can simply access his preferred websites, scroll pages, and zoom in on details. One can also look up the latest posts on Facebook or view friends’ photos on Flicker. The beTouch E101 is available at Rs. 11,900.
The beTouch E200 is a touch phone created for those who is always on the go and use their mobile device as a way of keeping in touch with friends, connecting to the Internet, or generally sharing their experiences online. It has a 3.0″ touch screen and five navigation keys for easy touch or scroll browsing, including favorite sites, social networks, and online maps. Thanks to the numeric keypad, texting, instant messaging, or sending e-mails is straight. It has a 3.2 mega pixel camera which takes clear and bright photos and permits you to upload them easily onto your Facebook, Flicker, or Blogger account. It is available at Rs. 17,900.
