U.S. stock futures pointed to a stronger open on Wednesday, with all eyes focused on an expected policy statement from the U.S. Federal Reserve as it concludes its two-day meeting.
S&P 500 futures rose 4.3 points to 894.50 and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 5.25 points to 1,429.25. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 38 points.
After sliding 200 points Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished down 16 points, or 0.2%, at 8,322 on Tuesday. The S&P 500 index rose 2.1 points while the Nasdaq Composite lost 1.3 points.
Attention on Wednesday turns to the Fed, which is due to release a policy statement at 2:15 p.m. EDT.

Palm, Inc. (PALM, $13.80, +$0.25, 1.85%) jumps 1.85 percent to $13.80 in pre-market trading session, and yesterday shares of Palm Inc. rose 5.37 percent and closed on $13.55.
Wells Fargo & Company (WFC, $23.27, +$0.36, 1.57%) jumps 1.57 percent to $23.27 in pre-market trading session, and yesterday Wells rose 1.78 percent and closed on $22.91.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM, $33.88, +$0.31, 0.92%) rises 0.92 percent to $33.88 in pre-market trading session, and yesterday shares of JPMorgan Chase rose 2.13 percent and closed on $33.57.
Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc (RBS, $11.76, +$0.04, 0.34%) jumps 0.34 percent to $11.76 in pre-market trading session, and yesterday shares of RBS jumped 0.43 percent and closed on $11.72. Currently Royal Bank of Scotland trading at 0.55 percent higher to $35.38 in London Stock Exchange.
