A new model from RIM (Research in Motion) introduced in the market naming Blackberry Bold 9700, which includes support for 3G connections worldwide. It is available at Airtel retail outlets across India. BlackBerry smartphone 9700 is priced at Rs 31990 and the handset offers a wide range of communication and multimedia features packaged in a sleek and stylish design that will appeal to customers for both professional and personal use.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 adds a new-generation processor (624 MHz), 256 MB flash memory, GPS and integrated Wi-Fi, 3.2 MP camera and a bright, sharp screen.

The main features of the phone include:
* A vivid and bright 480 x 360 to 245 ppi
* Full-QWERTY keyboard touch, with sculpted keys precisely and chrome accents for greater speed and accuracy when typing.
* Touch trackpad.
* Wi-Fi (802.11 b / g) integrated support for calls over Wi-Fi via UMA, where available.
* 3.2 MP camera with zoom, auto focus, flash and video camera.
* BlackBerry OS 5.0 which provides users with several improvements in the management of email and calendar, as well as better browser experience with JavaScript and CSS processing faster.
* Integrated GPS for maps and other location-based applications, as well as geo-positioning of photos.
* Player videos, photos and music (music playback lasts up to 38 hours), and BlackBerry Media Sync to sync photos, as well as from iTunes and Windows Media Player with the smartphone.
