BlackBerry Tour CDMA @ RIM, Pre-booking begins: Reliance Communications in association with Canadian firm, Research In Motion (RIM) to launch the ultimate super-performer BlackBerry Tour smart phone for its CDMA customers.

Hurry!! pre-booking begins on Oct. 7! BlackBerry Tour is a 3G-enabled smart phone and will be available on a national scale from Oct. 12 for Rs. 27,990. As a special promotion from Reliance Mobile for pre-booking customers, users will be able to have the benefit of two months of free BlackBerry Internet Service on Reliance Mobile’s CDMA network. Now, those looking for the two months of free Internet Usage, can pre-book it now.

Reliance Mobile’s a la mode CDMA based BlackBerry Tour will be continued to be put up for sale along with its forerunners, BlackBerry Curve 8330, BlackBerry Pearl 8130, BlackBerry 8703 and BlackBerry 8830.

Reliance Mobile, the leader in CDMA communication technology has announced the launch of the CDMA based BlackBerry Tour on its network in India. Reliance Mobile has been the leader in CDMA communication technology since its inception and now is all set to launch BlackBerry Tour smart phone on October 12.

BlackBerry Tour has a chic black finish with chrome highlights surrounding its sleek design. The BlackBerry Tour is a high-end CDMA smart phone and multimedia capability with spectacular mobile performance and consummate styling. It features international roaming support and helps you connect with everyone wherever you are. The vast reach of Reliance Mobile’s CDMA network will allow customers to access their professional and personal data on their BlackBerry Tour smart phones across the country and at fast speeds.
It measures 112mm x 62mm x 14.2mm (L X W X D) and its weight is 130g. It comprise of a large recognizable, full-QWERTY keyboard in addition to its 2.44″ bright, 480×360 resolution display.

Some other features on the phone include:
3.2 mega pixel camera with flash, variable zoom, image stabilization, auto focus and video recording; Advanced media player for videos, pictures and music, a 3.5 mm stereo headset jack and support for the Bluetooth Stereo Audio Profile (A2DP/AVCRP); Full HTML web browser, including support for streaming audio and video (RTSP); 256MB Flash memory; Built-in GPS; Expandable memory via hot swappable microSD/SDHC memory card slot, supporting up to 32GB cards; BlackBerry Media Sync support.
Wi-Fi, however is not included which is a major drawback.
