Team India Still A Strong Contender For The Champions Trophy: Rameez Raja.

September 29, 2009 By: Rishi Midha Category: Sports News Comments Off

Inspite of Team India not perfoming well in the champions trophy so far , Former Pakistan Team captain Rameez Raja feels that India still has what it takes to compete as a strong contender to win the champions trophy. He is confident of his statement even though chances of team India qualifying for the semi-finals are bleak . Team India will qualify or not is a question that is dependant on the match between Pakistan and Australia.
India’s performance so far has not been satisfactory and it seems that the players are not willing to put in the effort and the fighting spirit of Team India seems to be diminishing with every game that they play . The main reason for this can be they absence of the key players in the team , also there is no key bowling line up in the team , infact it is the bowling part that is team India’s weakest link and has been a hindrance to their performance.
According to Rameez Raja India has always showed the ability to come out fighting when in a knockout stage and if the same is shown here then India might as well win the trophy.
India should maintain their focus and dedicatedly play the remaining games if they qualify for the semi-finals. People all over the world hope and pray for team India to strike back with great enthusiasm and focus in the remaining matches if they qualify for the semi-finals. If India has to qualify for the semi finals then firstly Pakistan would have to beat Australia and secondly India will have to win their match against West Indies with a huge margin. If the above two happen , then Team India will surely qualify for the semi-finals.
Indian fans all over the world are praying for the same.
All is now dependant on the match between Pakistan and Australia.

M.S.Dhoni is under tremendous pressure to face the opposition teams in the champions trophy , The last time he played in Johannesburg he was a new comer and had to focus on only his performance , This time he will captain the no 1 team in the world and play against the others without his main players. The expectations from the team are high and the major issue that is worrying the captain is the absence of his key players.
The captain believes that people have faith in his team and the high hopes should give motivation to the player to perform better in the game.
Today India is to face Pakistan in the champions trophy , and the starting XI are yet to be decided. He is worried because the key players in both the batting and bowling are missing , but at the same time he is confident of giving a very good fight to the rival team.
At the moment the main problem in team is that there are not many all rounders like Yuvraj singh , and facing a team like Pakistan demands as many all rounders as possible. There are many expectations from Virat kohli who is yuvraj Singh’s replacement in the game.

Today India is facing Pakistan in the champions trophy. We can only hope that team India’s performance is as good as it was previously and that India win the trophy.
