CIL will give 5% net profit to CSR – CIL (Coal India Ltd) will give 5% net profit to CSR (Corporate social responsibility), as per coal minister Mr. Sriprakash Jaiswal statement. He said, “CIL will provide 5 per cent of the net profit so that there is no scarcity of funds for CSR activities.”
Celebrating the company’s (CIL) 34th foundation day jubilations, Coal minister added by saying, the company will render full financial support for higher education as well as also affirms 100 BPL meritorious and deserving students selected all throughout nationwide selection procedure.
All these successful and fortunate students will be rewarded and offered a job in CIL, according to the coal minister. In the mean time, the coal ministry also suggested to fix minimal amount of salary for contract workers working in coal mines.
At present scenario, there is no fix amount of pay for workers under contractors. Coal minister also stated, “We want that minimum wages for contract workers in mines should be higher than the state government’s minimum wage.”
