All of us grew up hearing tales from our grandmother and reading comics. Comics used to be available to us in a wide variety to choose from. Anything from Chacha Chowdhary to Pinky was readily available. Cartoon Network, the very famous kids entertainment channel in association with Mumbai-based VAS player, (Value added Service company) Nazara Technologies entered into a content deal wherein popular comics will now be provided to mobile subscribers. One can read his favorite comic while on the move.
Mobile which once was a luxury has now become a necessity. Even kids today, feel it is an indispensable part of their modus vivendi. Studies reveal that 63 per cent of kids use a mobile phone at least once a week in India.

Cartoon Network is pleased to add comics of iconic toon stars such as Ben 10 and Johnny Bravo on mobile. Comics of kids’ favorites Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Johnny Bravo and Dexter will now be available on mobile handsets through telecom operators like Airtel, Idea, Reliance Mobile and TATA DoCoMo, Cartoon Network revealed.

It will offer videos, themes, colour logos wallpaper, animation, and greetings on popular characters as well. Cartoon Network will also launch a customized java application to download an entire Cartoon Network comic to read in one go next year.

The tariffs offered by Nazara Technologies would be:
Users can download Cartoon Network comics at varied price points from Re 1 per day, Rs 10 per week and Rs 30 per month, depending on their operator.
The main aim is to reach the kids by providing new products and services. Therefore, they will invigorate one of the oldest and most treasured content formats, Comics which would be available to them on mobile now.
