Three engineers of PWD department suspended because of their negligence state
Assembly suffered a lot. On Dec 1st a technical snag developed in the sound system of house which made all the microphones of the house mute. There should be proper checking of all the microphones before the session starts and that was not done so strict action taken against perpetrators.
As the microphones went mute so no other option was left and speaker Hashim Abdul Halim had adjourned the session for 10 days. The next session will commence after ten days.
On this episode the Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee was quite fed up and instructed PWD minister Kishiti Goswamy to take a strict action against the perpetrators or those who have neglected their duties.
An enquiry committee will present its report within 15 days and the committee will be headed by PWD Chief Engineer Swapan Das. The committee will judge the cause behind this glitch and also verify that the agency selection and other possible causes behind the new sound system failure.
PWD minister Kishiti Goswamy t informed the reports that they have already taken strict action against and suspended Niranjan Das, executive engineer, Debashish Paul, Assistant Engineer and Krishnapada Ghosh, sub-assistant engineer
It has been informed that the house was having sound system of Bosch. The country head of Bosch India has also called for explanation as the whole system has been recently revamped under the contract worth Rs 1.64 crore. The company’s CEO has also been called from Singapore to give explanations.
