Google free voice based internet search option for mobiles – Google has plunged a free voice-based mobile internet search facility, completely established by the internet search giant engineering team. Till present, the facility is available to only 400k Blackberry mobile users and it has been expected by the end of year, the company will extend this facility.

The outcome from mobile search facility is quite similar to a PC based search query. Simply getting log on to the internet through his/her mobile, any user could ask for any location etc. and by just saying word weather, he/she will get the top notch results. Currently, the software giant Google is trying to patch up with India’s varied accents and pronunciation with the search engines. To render SMS based voice search facility, Google uses an automated voice recognition engine and operators. To make this service faster and speedier, an experiment is going on with voice recognition technology that ensures 24 hour support.

Gradually with time, Google has moved from just SMS based to other value added services like social networking, voice based internet based search on mobiles and Google maps. The Google maps service provides an inexpensive solution to GPS (Global positioning system) loaded devices. In addition, this service provides mobile operators cellphone ID’s to help users in determining locations. According to Goel, ” Pricing is the key to Android’s success in India. While pricing is the prerogative of each handset manufacturer, the Rs 10,000 figure is a sweet spot. This should foster data usage and growth of mobile internet”.
