Google, the search giant always aspire to give the users exactly the information the users want. Your online life comprises of friends and contacts which are your central factors in life. Many people make social connections and publish web content in many different ways which include blogs, status updates and tweets. This interprets to a public social web of content that has particular significance to each person. Alas! That information is not always very easy to find in one simple place. Therefore, Google, today, plans to roll out a new experiment on Google Labs called Google Social Search that helps you find more applicable public content from your wider social circle. It should be available for everyone to try by the end of the day.
The only thing that is essential referring the service is to have an open profile with Google that involves personal contact information. In case all terms are met, the user gets access to the service at the Google Labs.
For instance, typing ‘NewYork’ will yield a list of friends in the user’s social network. Settings can be altered so that only postings from close friends and conversances are included in the “social graph.”
Social Search works quickly, but not in real time. It is currently available only in English.
Also, if you use Gmail, Google will also include your chat chums and contacts in your friends, family, and coworkers groups. And if you use Google Reader, Google will include some websites from your subscriptions as part of your social search results.
