Jayaprada, Kapil Dev & Tania Sachdev walked for Ashima and Leena Singh in WIFW
India’s biggest fashion event has started from yesterday and will run for 3 more days in which 110 designers will showcase their exquisite collection for the attention of around 175 buyers.
Ashima – Leena’s exquisite collection set the ramp on fire on the opening day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.The famous celebrities has taken part in India’s premier fashion event, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week on Saturday. The former eminent cricket star Kapil dev walked on to the ramp with Asian Chess champion Tania Sachdev on the opening of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. The Indian cricket skipper Kapil Dev walked for designers Ashima and Leena Singh and said that the show stands for making Delhi green and also a welcome to 2010 common wealth games.
Bollywood actress turned politician Jaya Prada blazed the ramp in a colorful outfit specially designed by Ashima – Leena at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in New Delhi.
Her attire was very bright with flowery print on it. It was a different style of salwar-kameez. She also tied a pink flowery pattern ribbon on her hair.
Apart from Jaya, ace cricketer Kapil Dev also scorched the ramp. Dressed in a simple but elegant green kurta-punjabi, he showcased Ashima – Leena’s exquisite collection.
Designer Tarun Tahiliani showed his “goddesses” in white, flowy dresses while models for Ashima and Leena Singh wore cream and green embellished with colourful flower petals.
Tahiliani’s collection consisted chiffon, drape and no heavy work at all .The whole collection is meant to feel light for the dreamy goddesses.
Aspiring Designer Rahul Mishra’s “Threads of Freedom” collection showed off classic muted colours of black, ivory, grey and indigo.He used Khadi for his innovations.
