Knock Knock ! Who’s there? The 4G
On September 18, the Nokia has cheerfully informed the world in their future technologies based blog “Hello, this is your future calling” that the first call on a next generation 4G LTE network was made on September 17th,2009.
It has also being informed by the Nokia that ,” the news reaching us this week of the first official call, using a real base station and standards-compliant software means the future is getting much closer.”
This is definite that the Nokia Siemens Networks demonstrating the latest developments using the latest technologies. On the event of first calling on4G, NSN’s Mark Rouanne said “This call is a significant landmark in building and strengthening our entire LTE ecosystem”. We should expect to see commercial networks rolling out LTE services in the next 12 months or so.”
In the October month the Nokia has informed the world that the seeds of 4G planet are being sewed by Nokia Siemens Networks. The Reuters at that time reported that “it would deliver fourth-generation-ready (4G) mobile network hardware to more than 10 major operators by end 2008.”
Later on the 2010 will be the year to introduce this technology all over the world when everyone can download and upload at rocket speed. Nokia blog has quoted that “ Although the official definition of ‘4G’ isn’t due from the International Telecommunication Union until the end of this year at the earliest, it’s generally recognised to include Long Term Evolution (LTE), WiMax and Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB). The specification for ‘4G’, when it’s finalised, is predicted to support 100Mbps data rates.”
