Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino wins the title of Miss World 2009
The beauty queen Kaiane Aldorino from Gibraltar is announced as the winner of Miss World contest in Johannesburg, South Africa. On the other hand the first runner up was Perla Beltran Acosta, Miss Mexico. Tatum Keshwar from South Africa was the second runner-up.
Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia who was the winner of this Title in the year 2008 crowned her successor, Kaiane Aldorin. Ksenia Sukhinova takes to the stage for the last time as the reigning Miss World 2009.
There were seven contestants in the final round- Miss Gibraltar, Miss Mexico, Miss South Africa, Miss France — Chloé Mortaud, Miss Canada — Lena Ma, Miss Colombia — Daniela Ramos and Miss Panama — Nadege Herrera
Miss India Pooja Chopra was named winner of the Miss World Beauty with a Purpose Award for her inspirational charity works. Priyanka Chopra has also taken part in the Miss World pageant but this time as a judge.
She has participated as a judge in the finale episode which was held in Johannesburg on 12th December. She was looking stunning and gracious as a judge too.
