Miss Gibraltar winner of the coveted crown as Miss World 2009:
In the 59th Miss World Final, Miss Mexico is first runner up, followed by South Africa as second runner up. Miss Gibraltar, Kaiane Aldorino has won the coveted crown as Miss World 2009, triumphing out of 112 world’s most beautiful and talented young women. This contest was held at GallagherConvention Centre in Johannesburg, City of Gold.
Miss World 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia graciously crowned her successor (Kaiane Aldorino) as the new Miss World 2009. Kaiane Aldorino took up her deserved position on the throne , Miss World 2009 was joined by first runner-up Mexico and second runner-up South Africa.
In the midst of all excitement and emotions Miss world 2009 title winner, Kaiane Aldorino said ,” My time has come. I am living a dream that I pray will never end.”
from India ,former Miss World and Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra participated in the show as an official judge of Miss world 2009 final .
Miss India, Pooja Chopra was also announced as the winner of the Miss World Beauty With A Purpose Award for her inspirational charity works.
The Miss World flag was handed over to Vietnam, hosts of Miss World 2010.
After the Final, all the contestants attended the Coronation Gala, where they got a chance to dine with family and new friends from around the world.
