Nokia E72 feature rich smart phone enters Indian market
The much awaited device has finally arrived in India, Nokia E72, a full QWERTY feature rich smart phone. The Nokia E72 will be available in 2 colors, viz., Zodium Black and Topaz Brown and is available at a price of Rs. 22,989. It is an over-the-top business handset with a full QWERTY keyboard. Nokia E72 device is considered the descendant to the very famous E71. Nokia E72 brings a rich mobile email and instant messaging experience right out of the box, making it the ideal device for people that want to be productive in both their personal and professional lives.
The phone also comes pre-installed with Nokia Messaging and a host of Office Productivity Suites. For the first time, users will be able to set up instant messaging (IM) accounts provided by Nokia Messaging direct from the home screen. In just a few steps, device owners will be able to connect to their favorite IM accounts such as Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi, amongst many others.
Other notable features include A-GPS and compass with integrated Maps, including lifetime walk and 10 days of turn-by-turn navigation if activated within the first three months. Conversations are also clearer with active noise cancellation, and a torch can be activated with a single press of the spacebar key.
Nokia India Marketing Director Vineet Taneja said, “Our study shows, most of the consumers surveyed choose email over voice or text to send and receive important information. With the latest Nokia E72, consumers will be able to accommodate multiple work and personal email accounts. We expect to see the same kind of success we had with E71.”
Ilari Nurmi, Vice President at Nokia said, “Despite the outstanding market performance of the Nokia E71, we still continually look for ways to enhance the device,” “So we included the desktop like email experience from the Nokia E75 and gave it a new optical navigation key for more intuitive scrolling through menus, emails and fast panning of images. We also upgraded the camera to 5 mega pixels and added a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.”
Though E72 is visually similar to the E71, there have been a lot of changes under the hood. Nokia E72 has more or less everything that the E71 fell short of.
