oPhone OS based LG GW880, China Mobile will sell it in near future
In the month of August the oPhone OS based LG GW880 came into talks. People came to know that the ophone OS, will feature Android version for China Mobile, the country’s biggest operator. Now the news is confirmed after a span of three months by LG.
LG has proclaimed that the mobile handset will be soon available with China Mobile. LG Electronics confirmed that its new smartphone phone, LG GW880, hit the China market at the ned of November month. The mobile has adopted China Mobile’s OPhone software, powered by the Google-backed Android operating system.
LG GW880, is considered as LG’s second handset based on Android platform. The earlier one is recently launched GW620, Etna considered as mainstream Android based mobile phone.
GW880 comes sans a physical keyboard. The phone has 5-megapixel camera and GPS. It also supports the Chinese 3G standard, TD-SCDMA. The GW880 has a 3.5-inch touch-screen with 800 x 480 resolution.The company’s second Android-based smartphone has bluetooth connectivity along with GPS. The GW880 offers a mobile TV function with a CMMB (China Multi Media Broadcasting) TV tuner.
On LG GW880 primary navigation screen, users can list up to 24 application icons, allowing users to access any application without having to move across to other screen views.
LG has informed that through the App Store run by China Mobile, the mobile users can download a diverse variety of applications for almost any need.
