Google Inc is coming up with a new look for the popular social networking site Orkut.
The orkut has been provided with a new vamp by modifying its UI. Now the users will experience a much smarter and faster home page of orkut. Moreover now it is being simplified and also very easy to use.
Orkut is catering around 80-100 million users globally. The objective of changing the look is to gain momentum in the most competitive networking business. India is the second leading market for Orkut after Brazil.
According to Google India head (Products) Vinay Goel, the users of Orkut will have no need to visit each page in order to view video or posting scraps. The new user interface will allow users to see all the updates and responses from the contacts onto their home page itself.
There are number of modifications taken place to bring this new UI of orkut like uploading of photos will be much easier now .The new features are also added to it like video chat, automatic face detection and view friends on the same page.
