PayPal block certain Payment Transactions in India for more than a week. This is really an unusual step on Saturday the Paypal spokes person informed that “personal payments” to and from India are being stopped and not only this transfers to banks in India is also suspended right now. On Jan 28th the suspensions began and paypal hopes that soon they will resolve the situation. PayPal, which is owned by eBay Inc. Is also taking the step to answers all the questions asked about its services.
On behalf of paypal Anuj wrote in his blogpost that ,”During this time, customers can still make commercial payments to India but merchants cannot withdraw funds in Rupees to local Indian banks.”
Mr. Anuj will revert soon as soon as any further information will come in this regard. He also apologised for the inconvenience cause to Paypal customers in India and around the world.
Mr. Anuj has stated that the suspension is because Paypal is currently working with their business partners and other stakeholders to address questions they have about the service.
