PM and Sachin Tendulakar’s heartfelt condolences on passing way of Prabhash Joshi
Shri Prabhash Joshi the veteran journalist passed away on late Thursday. He was a man of extraordinary intellectual courage and professional integrity. In his later years, Shri Joshi worked tirelessly to give voice to the concerns and anxieties of the voiceless and marginalized sections of society. Indian journalism will be so much the poorer for his death.
A whole generation of journalists drew inspiration from him, especially in questioning the current orthodoxy.
The Prime Minister of India Dr. Man Mohan singh has condoled the passing way of veteran journalist Shri Prabhash Joshi. In his condolence message to Smt. Usha Joshi, the Prime Minister said ,“I am deeply grieved to learn of the sudden and sad demise of your husband Shri Prabhash Joshi, a veteran journalist of our country.
Shri Joshi was a man of extraordinary intellectual courage and professional integrity. He acquired an iconic status as the founder-editor of the Hindi daily, Jansatta.
On this sad occasion master blaster Sachin Tendulakr also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family members and prayed for peace of the departed soul. Shri Prabhash Joshi was a cricket lover and was fan of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
