Oscar winner musician A. R. Rahman has designed coloring books to “spread the message of peace”. The book is available for Rupees 99 each on his website, the four such “Pray For Me Brother” coloring books include Festival of Love, Patience, Red Nosed Reindeer, and these carry Rahman’s picture on the bottom left of the cover.
Kamini Mathai has also come up with Rahman’s biography titled “A. R. Rahman—The Musical Storm” published by Penguin Group recently, which is also available at the website for Rupees 499.
Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, applauded multi-talented (music director, programmer, music teacher, composer, singer, record producer, arranger, instrumentalist, and now designer) Rahman for creating respect and adoration for Indian film music worldwide.
Rahman, who has reportedly recorded sales of over 300 million, was called “Mozart of Madras” by Time magazine. Rahman sees music “as a way to connect to spirituality and embrace it” and for “creating harmony in troubled times”.
