Redsn0w 0.9beta3 released
The iPhone Dev Team has just released the beta version of the jailbreak and unlock tool Redsn0w. The new version, redsn0w 0.9 for Windows and Mac machines is used to jailbreak, unlock and customize iPhone and iPod Touch devices, except for the iPod touch 3G. This software uses the original Pwnage bootrom exploit from iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, and iPod 1G. Like blackra1n is Redsn0w also available for devices with System 3.1.2 and does not prevent the update of the baseband.
Redsn0w 0.9beta3 is available for Windows and Mac OS X and supports both iPhone OS 3.0 and iPhone OS 3.1.2. Additionally, to Jailbreak and unlock option one can install the tool with their own logos. Nevertheless, users should bear in mind that not without reason Redsn0w in beta status was published: Should an error occur during the process, it may be necessary to reset the device completely and restore. The beta status will continue as long as, until the iPod touch support, and the Linux version of Redsn0w are available.
