The demand for memory cards keeps growing in leaps and bounds as consumers move for additional storage in smart phones and other mobile devices has grown. Samsung’s well-recognized headship in the digital memory card space renders a perfect grip. Hence, with the launch of premium memory cards that can match quickly developing, high-end premium devices such as smart phones and high-performance digital still cameras is indeed a boon. Samsung has recently introduced its line of premium Samsung memory cards for the UK market. These cards are water-resistant, shock-resistant and are also protected from the damage caused by magnetic interference. Samsung has joined hands with Kondor for the distribution of these memory cards.
Samsung claims that the cards can retain data for up to 10 years without the need for a refresh. Data recovery software is supposed to be three times faster than the conventional methods.
These cards touts a modern brushed silver metallic design or a natural beige epoxy compound shell and are simpatico with devices integrating memory card slots.
Samsung’s modish Plus memory cards abides by the Secure Digital class 6 ratings for performance and are offered in microSD, SD and Compact Flash (CF) formats with capacities of 4GB and 8GB with a 16GB density for an SD Plus card. Most of the premium Plus memory cards can read data at 17MB/s. However, the CF cards offer read speeds of up to 45MB/s.
The Samsung plus memory cards are available in France, Germany and the UK, and are scheduled to arrive in other markets later.
