Samsung has announced the launch of Samsung N140 Ultra-Portable Netbook in India, powered by the Intel Atom processor which runs on Windows 7 operating system. It will come in a variety of colors to express your individual style. Netbooks are the fastest-growing business unit within the company, said Boo-Keun Yoon, president of Samsung’s Display business.

Samsung N140 sports a stylish design with crave-worthy specs. It touts of a battery life of up to 11 hours of continuous computing, thanks to its 6-cell battery. It lasts long enough for you to upload photos, surf online and chat with friends. You can keep sending emails and uploading photos without worrying about it being shut down. An energy efficient LED display and optimized processing technology adds to its long-lasting performance.

The N140 weighs just 1.27kg. Samsung N140 comes with a 10.1-inch LED Backlit display and a spill proof keyboard. It is the first netbook in the market which has a 250GB Hard Disc Drive. It uses less power, so you can be entertained longer. The N140’s 16:9 aspect ratio plunges you in games and movies with an accurate representation. Samsung N140 is packed with three USB 2.0 ports, including one that can charge portable devices, such as mobile phones or MP3 players, even when it’s turned off. It also features a 3-in-1 memory card reader for easy data sharing.

The audio experience should be a delight on this one, given its dual 1.5W stereo speakers and the SRS 3D Sound Effect algorithms cranking out great tunes.

For connectivity, the N140 netbook has Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, VGA port, even an internal microphone and headphone-out connection so you can easily stay in touch using VoIP telephony.

The 1.3-megapixel camera also enables easy video conferencing, especially because the device comes with a built-in mike.
The netbook scores heavily in style points as it comes with beautifully rounded edges, smooth lines and a thin profile along with a spill-proof anti-bacteria keyboard. It is incorporated with McAfee Virus Scan Security system.
Its physical dimension are (W x D x H mm) 262 x 185.5 x 28.55mm (TBD). Samsung N140 also features a high speed 802.11bg/n compliant wireless card.

Samsung N140 is packaged with a 1-year warranty, the Samsung N140 netbook retails at Rs. 24,990. The company is also offering free pick-up and delivery of netbook and notebooks within the eight Indian metros.
