Seesmic debuts into the mobile dome: Blackberry and Android
The social software application site, Seesmic debuts into the mobile dome by launching Seesmic App for Android and BlackBerry smartphones. After releasing Seesmic Desktop, its Adobe Air application that incorporates multiple Twitter accounts and Facebook account and Facebook pages, for Windows, announced the launch of Blackberry and Android applications.
The Seesmic blog says, “It’s our vision for Seesmic to be on every screen, and we’re looking forward to building out products to meet that vision.” So we might see Seesmic for iPhone soon!
The app brings a Twitter client to the user’s smartphone that manages their Twitter account. The Seesmic app for BlackBerry set the user’s Twitter timelines into a trouble-free and clean interface. The app also permits BlackBerry owners to create and view saved searches. In addition, the application facilitates users to view Twitter lists that have been created on twitter.com. The BlackBerry app lets users to shorten URLs and send photos. Moreover, the app is able to configure notification alerts for direct messages and @replies.
Seesmic 1.0 for Android is accessible from the Android Market app, which is positioned on the smartphone. It takes up just over 1MB. The Seesmic app appears to bring a simple and user-friendly Twitter application that lets users to stay connected. This feature-rich application proffers threaded direct messages and permts Android users to share photos using yFrog and TwitPic and videos to YouTube!
The Android app features completely configuration notifications and automatically shortens URLs with bit.ly and j.mp.
The Seesmic app for Android can be downloaded for free from the Android Market Place and for BlackBerry from the BlackBerry App World.
