Snapfish in a joint venture with eBay benefiting the users
Snapfish, a web-based photo sharing and photo printing service currently owned by Hewlett-Packard declared a partnership agreement with eBay, an online auction and shopping website to alleviate the launch of a co-branded ‘Photo Center’ which enables eBay users to print, share and store unlimited number of photographs. eBay users can choose from thick variety of products ranging from photo greeting cards, t-shirts, mugs, sporty drinking bottles, money boxes, calendars and stickers to create and order fully modified photo gifts online.
Bala Parthasarathy, Managing Director, Europe & Asia Pacific, Snapfish, Hewlett-Packard said, in recent times, there has been a practical move in the consumer purchasing behavior. An increasing number of consumers are guaranteeing for the online shopping getaways, owing to the growing internet incursion, ease of use and the outrageousness of options available.
Snapfish is presently spreading out its portfolio, taking the photo sharing and printing experience beyond the online space. Snapfish has also struck a partnership with Sony Ericsson to offer high-quality prints to the user’s disposal.
Sony Ericsson’s C903 Cyber-shot comes with a 5 megapixel camera, premium imaging tools like ‘Smile Shutter’, face detection, active lens cover, BestPic and dedicated camera keys. C903 Cyber-shot enables users to order prints with the help of in-built Snapfish HP application.
“Such built-in applications might be made available on other mobile phones and digital cameras as well.” “A Snapfish application for iPhone is in the pipeline.” Bala Parthasarathy said.
