Sony Bravia ZX1 in India
Sony Bravia 9.9mm Ultra Thin LCD TV launched in India: Japanese electronic major Sony is eyeing a 30 per cent market share in the liquid crystal display (LCD) segment in the financial year 2009-10 as against 28 per cent in FY08.
The 40-inch Bravia ZX1 LCD TVs’ (KLV-40ZX550A) thickest part measures 9.9mm and weighs 15kg. The TV’s picture quality is enhanced by Bravia Engine2 which supports full HD (1920×1080) resolution, Edge LED, 100MHz Motionflow and Image Blur reduction.
Sony Bravia ZX1 uses LED technology to light up the screen, instead of fluorescent lamps. The screen features two integrated speakers and a woofer, producing 20 Watts of sound – each speaker producing 5 Watts of sound and woofer producing 10 Watts of sound.
The wireless HD feature of the LCD TV enables viewing HD pictures without cables and wires. The HD media receiver when connected to HD devices, starts wireless tracking of input signals from the media library located anywhere in the house. This is made possible with the high-speed wireless connection and RF technology of ZX1.
Addressing a press conference here, Sunil Nayyar, general manager (sales), Sony India, said in 2009-10 the company was aiming to sell 450,000 television units as against 280,000 units in 2008.
