Urban school students will now get a chance to see and meet the astronauts and space engineers. In order to know the depth of space and explaining the mysteries of space to students, Indian Space Society has been formed.
On Monday, Indian Space Society has been launched and the announcement was made by director of Press Club Mr. Mitul Dikshit. On this occasion ISRO former group director Suresh Nayak was present as chief guest. He has been appointed as the Chairman of Indian Space Society.
Mr. Mitul informed that through this society all the city school students will be benefited. The school has to take the membership of this society. The society will call astronauts and space engineers from time to time and the urban school students will able to converse with them and can gain knowledge from them.
The former group director Suresh Nayak of ISRO believes that ISRO will take many more years to come closer to U.S. space agency NASA. He also said that private companies do not come forward to invest. He explained further that ISRO’s budget is around Rs 1000 Crore which is just around 30 per cent of China’s space program.
He has also given a logical reason to being behind that, in India, there is no company who make all parts of a satellite.
15 Thousand Dollar trip to space
ISRO former director said that anyone can enjoy two-hour space walk just by spending 15 thousand dollars.
Russian Space Agency makes arrangements for such kind of visit. This trip can be cheaper if
cost of fuel used in rockets can go down and scientists are working on that.
