Sony blows away competition in thin air with the launch of its Ultra Slim notebook to enthrall all notebook freaks. Sony has signed Bollywood size zero (Ultra Slim) actress Kareena Kapoor as the brand ambassador of the product Ultra Slim Sony Vaio X.
“The range of the new Size Zero Sony Vaio is compact, classy, chic and sophisticated … Since Kareena Kapoor has the charismatic appeal, we’re sure she can carry the brand with panache,” said an official from the brand.
Sony Vaio had earlier signed deals with international celebrities and this is the very first time that an Indian face has been chosen. Sony Vaio X series are considered as ‘Size Zero’ range of laptops therefore the actress has got more relevance to this concept of ‘Size Zero’; it would be a right brand to endorse for.
Number of television commercial has been released now in which Kareena Kapoor can be caught endorsing Sony Vaio X laptops range.
Sony Vaio X, which is a direct contender of Apple’s Macbook Air, weighs around 600 grams and is half an inch thick. This new notebook from Sony claims to be the lightest one in the world.
Sony’s Managing Director informed “We are targeting to capture 20 percent share of the consumer notebook market by fiscal 2010”. And the marketing campaigns with kareena kapoor prove to be helpful in achieving company’s target.
Sony India spoke about their campaignthat “Sony as a brand has evolved significantly and securing a global brand ambassador is a natural progression to take our brand to the next level in an increasingly competitive market place.”
