The wedding of Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva saw the coming together of innumerable crystals, imported flowers and LCD screens at the venue. It was a gala affair where Vivek Oberoi who is an actor by profession got married to the girl from Bangalore, Priyanka Alva. The former is undoubtedly on cloud nine after the wedding which took place on Friday. The venue was the farmhouse owned by the Alva family and it seems that the guests who were invited cannot stop raving about it.

As reported by a guest, the farmhouse has a huge pool, a field for baseball, a football field and 60 palm trees situated amidst the lush lawns. The entire premises were decorated with lights and flowers which were imported from Italy and Czechoslovakia.

As far as the mandap was concerned, it was adorned with crystals and there were LCD screens all around so that the guests could watch the proceedings from a distance. There were Rangolis too which were professionally done and there were some which had been done by family members.

The guests dazzled equally and amongst them were Sushmita Sen who looked absolutely gorgeous in a pink sari. Mani Ratnam, the acclaimed director was also present along with the actress Poonam Dhillon in the evening. Amongst the politicians, there was Rajeev Deshpande, Mayor S. Nataraj and Venkaiah Naidu.

The menu was vegetarian which offered traditional South Indian and North Indian dishes. The evening came to an end after Priyanka performed the Kalire ceremony which is a Punjabi tradition.
