MTS, the mobile telephony services brand of Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL), has launched its prepaid service, MBlaze, through which users can surf a few websites free of cost (FOC). With speeds up-to 3.1 MBPS, the service is being offered all across India for a very affordable tariff of 10 paisa or 1MB download. Also, there will be no roaming surcharges while using data services on the MTS network.
Users can recharge their account at retail outlets or through a web-based process. All MBlaze tariff plans allow free Internet browsing of websites like Yahoo, Wikipedia, Makemytrip and more.
As of now, the service has been introduced to eight MTS circles. The service will be launched for the Mumbai circle in December.
MBlaze services will be extended to 26 cities by the first quarter next year. It is now available in Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, Kolkata, Durgapur and Siliguri in West Bengal, Patna in Bihar, Gangtok in Sikkim, Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy in Tamil Nadu, Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvanathapuram, in Kerala and Mysore, Mangalore, Bengaluru and Belgaum in Karnataka.
