GREATER NOIDA – Luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched its dynamic and efficient performance car E 63 AMG, for the Indian market. The E63 AMG in the new avatar was launched at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, India’s only Formula 1 track, at a price of Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
The car offers perfect combination of high performance and low fuel consumption with its new efficient engine, new Intelligence Assistance Systems and a new design idiom. The new E 63 AMG that sports a 5.5 litre V8 BITURBO engine with a displacement of 5,461 cc. The luxury supercar delivers an output of 557 hp@5500 rpm and torque of 720 nm@1,750-5,250 rpm, to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 4.2 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Eberhard Kern, said: “The launch of the new E63 AMG further reiterates our promise of bringing fascinating cars to India. The launch of the E63 AMG would help the company improve its market share in the country. When all the new generation models like A, B, CLA and GLA are launched, we expect them to contribute around 40 per cent to our total volumes in India. The company had received “great response on the models which were launched earlier this year.”
The luxury sedan features an AMG speedshift MCT 7-speed sports transmission with modes like “C” (controlled efficiency), “S” (Sports plus) and “M” (Manual)
The sedan has AMG exterior carbon-fibre package, inlays in the AMG side skirts and the carbon-finish top section of the AMG rear apron. It also sports full LED headlamps, which were introduced in India with the launch of the new E Class. The AMG instrument cluster features a 11.4 cm TFT multifunctional display with a menu that includes racetimer, AMG start-up scree and 320 km/h speedometre dial.
