Sony India Official reported that The Sony Xperia Z Ultra release date for India has been confirmed by e-retailer Saholic which is saying that the mammoth smartphone will start being doled out from July 31 onwards.

According to reports, Sony Xperia Z which was initially priced at Rs. 38,990 is now available at Rs. 33,990. Company has reduced the price without any reason. But the Sony wanats to preparing a sound ground for the launch of its new product.

Sony is also bundling a free case worth INR 1,990 with every Xperia Z purchase and the company is offering 12 or 6 months EMI plans for these phones without any processing fee at select stores.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with a massive 6.4-inch TFT LCD surface which features the Triluminos display technology for delivering enhanced visuals. It is offering a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a color depth of 16M color. It comes with the 344 ppi pixel density and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

This full HD monitor is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It is also supported by a 2GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. Moreover, it bears 16GB worth of internal storage memory and a microSD card slot for further expansions of up to 64GB.

An 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front one find their spots on the device as well, apart from a 3,000mAh battery which offers 120 hrs of music playback, 7 hrs of video playback, 14 hours of talktime on 2G and 32 days of standby time on 2G.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra connectivity features support for 3G & 4G(LTE), NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot. There is a micro-USB port on this device that bears dimensions of 179.0 x 92.0 x 6.5 mm and is pretty lightweight at 212 gm.

Sony in Hong Kong has already begun taking pre-orders priced at HKD(Hong Kong Dollar) 6,198, around Rs. 47,500. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra handset will come around Rs. 45,000 or more.
